Community: Anthropology 101 (S2E1)

WOW. So late on the uptake, this is embarrassing but this is my very FIRST episode of Community. I actually watch a shit ton of shows but sometimes watching them on Hulu is so much easier than dl-ing them so I was so tired, so I'm like hmmm, I'll just give this a try bc nivisaur said it was really good. Plus I love Joel McHale on The Soup @ E! bc he's so fucking hilarious. Okay so here's the review...

As a first time watcher straight into the 2nd season, it was a little hard to jump into the episode. All of the inside jokes, all of the drama from last season, was not explained really well to a first time viewer. But it's my own fault! How come I didn't watch it like I planned to last year?!!! ARGH. Anyways, it was funny regardless.

I love love love Betty White. Especially her Snickers commercial but for some reason I really think that she was overhyped this/last year because all of sudden she started winning a shit ton of awards for being in like two or three popular movies. But haven't you noticed that she has been in like a LOT of movies over the years, how come she's only getting respect now??

Anyways, in order to review this properly I turned to Wiki and TV Tropes to get caught up on it so I don't get anything too wrong, cut me a little slack I guess. :)

Here's wikipedia's quick and dirty description:
"Community centers on Jeff Winger, a suspended lawyer who was forced back into school after his college degree is deemed invalid by the state bar association because his degree is from Colombia, not Columbia University. The series focuses on Jeff's experiences while attending the Greendale Community College in Greendale, Colorado, and the people he meets there. He has an obvious crush on Britta Perry, a female student trying to get her life back on track, and receives perplexing life lessons from Pierce Hawthorne, an aged moist-towelette tycoon who has been married seven times."

So basically the episode is about Britta's rise to popularity and Jeff's downfall because Britta confessed her love for Jeff last season and was turned down. Sad. :( Anyways, Jeff's plot to regain popularity backfires in his face, and everyone gets mad at each other and their "study group" breaks up....:( But as all good TV shows, they get back together after Betty White beats the shit out of him! :) YES, LOVE HER! <3

Also, definitely loved the end when Ken Jeong asked to join the group ("Do you have any room in your group for some CHANGE" LOLLLLLLLL!) and went all LOTR on our asses with the Golem impression. LOL.

Totally did not know that Chevy Chase and Ken Jeong was in this!! AHH SO EXCITED!
