Glee: A Very Glee Christmas (S2E10)

Okay, hello everyone. Let me apologize for kind of bashing Glee during The Golden Globes Awards. I am just sick of Glee hogging all the spotlight from other shows. I don't know if they deserve the awards more but for me, Glee is getting a little overrated. Particularly last year's lackluster season. But, I still love Glee, I love the songs, I love the drama, and I still love watching the show and that's the truth. So forgive me if you were offended, I'm just here to express my opinions. Please feel free to disagree. Thanks. :)

Yes, I realize it's almost February and I'm reviewing a Christmas episode. Sorry for being so late! But excited for it to come back in February (2/8)! Apparently Charice, aka Sunny Corazon, is going to come back! Yes, loved herrrr Telephone rendition in the restroom with Rachel.

Anyways back to this episode, Christmas songs, my favorite part of Christmas :)))) But seriously, I hope that the storyline actually continues...like The Rocky Horror Glee Show (one of my favorites) was really good but had nothing really to do with the story line of Glee, it was kind of just like a SPECIAL EPISODE in which the Glee cast starred in it. Okay, a little bit of triangle with Carl-Emma-Mr. Schu but that was it. And Mr. Schu and Emma didn't even address it later on...

So quick recap from last episodes:

  • Emma married the dentist Carl (John Stamos) in Vegas
  • Artie and Brittanny <333333
  • Rachel cheated on Finn with Puck after she found out about the Santana thing...
New episode:
  • Artie and Brittany are so adorableeeeee. I love the Santa letter thing, that was so adorable. :) Why is Brittany so cuteeee :)
  • The random songs were strange. Like the decorating of the tree, most of the time like they kind of intro it but this time it was super random. Also I thought that some of the characters don't celebrate Christmas?? Shouldn't they be more like [insert word of your choice here] for all the people who don't celebrate Christmas????
  • Whatever, their Christmas tree is freaking hilarious. It's like the most shit-astic combination of tree from the side of the road, secondhand ornaments and stolen empty Christmas boxes from the mall. Only Glee would throw a pity party like that.
  • Brittany believing in Santa. Her wish is really cool and she's super sweet, and wouldn't it be bomb if Artie did walk like for reals??? When he did that dance number in the mall I was so surprised and it was ridiculously amazing!!!!! But I love how the Glee-ers are helping out with the belief in Santa so that she won't get disappointed. I especially loved Coach Beast's part. So adorable:) And of course, Artie is "walking" Nice. Coach Beast is sooooo  sweet! :))))))
  • Sue as the Grinch. Surprise surprise...but she was nice to Brittany. I like, I like. :)
  • Rachel getting rejected...kind of sad but she kind of deserves it not going to lie... But I loved her dress when she was singing The Carpenters' "Merry Christmas Darling"!!!!!!! I also really loved the cardigan/scarf ensemble everyone wore. :)
  • Favorite song: "Baby It's Cold Outside" with Kurt and Blaine! A little short, but nice! Even though I'm biased towards "Last Christmas" --> Honestly best song ever!!!
  • Giving presents to homeless children is pretty smart for a family and singing show and not really having to incorporate a too dense storyline in this episode. It has a good overtone and blah blah blah. Christmas-y and wonder morals. Overall, the singing was pretty good...but the episode was pretty cheesy and lame. And I'm not going to sugar coat it and say it was amazing. Because honestly it wasn't. Gleeks, don't be mad, sometimes you have to admit to yourself that you can't just like Glee because you like the show, you really need to reflect on the episode. I'm excited to see the next episode because I am 99% sure it'll be better. :)
Looking forward to in the continuing season *excited!*:
  • Charice!!!!!
  • Kurt and his adventures in Dalton Academy
  • New musical guest stars! Gwenyth Paltrow and Britney Spears were so amazing last year!!!!
  • New Glee power couple is up for grabs as well! Brittany and Artie, Quinn and Sam, or maybe someone else???
  • More drama, hopefully something more interesting than love triangles...
  • Also heard I heard...Gwenyth Paltrow is supposed to be Mr. Schu's love interest...
  • And Lauren??? Is she going to be a mainstay? She's seriously a Debbie Downer...
And something to look forward to in general:
  • Soon enough, won't be out until later this year but...NBC is also producing a musical drama about people coming together to put on a Broadway musical. Finally, some competition for Glee. I'm excited...hopefully it'll be good, I like when shows compete against each other. I like when anything battles against each other, case in point: Apple's iPhone vs. Google's Android phones. But that's a different story. I say...bring it on NBC! :)
Okay, see you guys when Glee comes back next! As of now...watching Shameless, The Cape, and Bob's Burgers and couldn't be happier, I always love new shows. Oh yes, and of course, my favorite Archer is coming back! H. Jon Benjamin in 2 shows. Yes! :)

[On a quick side note: The Cape is actually pretty good. Yes it sounds lame, "I watch The Cape" Bahaha but it's a pretty good show,  you should check it out, it's a pretty good shift in your average spring line-up. Besides if you don't really like it, stop watching it. Oh yes, and serennie is also reviewing it too. :)]

Glee: Special Education (S2E9)

So catching up on some TV and I just watched Furt yesterday so I'm super excited about this episode. The only real cliffhanger-y thing from yesterday besides the barf-inducing love scenes (WHICH I ABSOLUTELY LOVED!!!! AHHHHHH!! <3<3<3) was the fact that Kurt was transferring to Dalton Academy. Is he really going to do it?? Oh, and I still remember the first thing Rachel said "so does that mean you're going to compete AGAINST us?" THAT'S ALL YOU THINK ABOUT?!!!!!! WTF BITCH!

Ok, so on with the show after that rant! :)

SECTIONALS! = DRAMA DRAMA DRAMA!

Kurt at Dalton Academy

He joined the Warblers! Should be good, but drama rama, wonder the Warblers are going to scare him into running back to McKinley High! Some of the Warblers seem like douchebags....Well anyways Kurt's getting a chance to audition for a solo and he asks Rachel to help so they sing "Don't Cry For Me Argentina" from Evita. Anyways, Kurt doesn't get the solo because he tried too hard...But Warblers are all about being uniform and Kurt can't stand out of the crowd. This seems weird because they're limiting his individualism! More reasons to go back to McKinley High! And Rachel is being disgustingly nice to you???

Finn & Rachel problems...

Going to couples counseling because Finn slept with Santana...Rachel is making such a big deal out of this and I love Emma's advice about storming out bahahaha. But it's weird that Puck is helping her cheat on him?! YES! Wonder couple is broken up YAY! <3 More reason to hate Rachel!

Recruiting a new member?

Puck has the job of recruiting a new member hahaha. I wonder who it's going to be?? Haha and ended up getting trapped in the portapotty! HAHA and he recruited a weird girl named Lauren. Hope she can sing!!! But she's so freaking weird...she hates show choir, wonder if she's going to stay? Probably just a stand-in because Kurt is coming back *crosses fingers*

The competition:

The Hipsters...lol "The Living Years" BAHAHAAHAHA I love old people!!! Lol they're so funny and cute! Especially when they're struggling down the steps lol! But they're boring though so whatevers.

Warblers: "Hey, Soul Sister" --> absolutely LOVE this song! And I love acapella! <3 YAY! They were so good! Can Blaine transfer to McKinley please?? Damn, the Warblers are extremely amazing, I think I'm in love! They should totally win! <33333

Underdogs at sectionals = New Directions: HOLD UP! HOW COME THEY GET TO SING 2 SONGS WHILE NO ONE ELSE GETS TO???

Sam & Quinn's duet: "I've Had the Time of My Life" --> They're so cute it's gross!! HAHA! Their singing wasn't great, not gonna lie. But whatevers, their chemistry is ridiculous! And the song is really cute!

Santana: "Valerie" --> YES! I LOVEEEE WHEN SANTANA SINGS! :) I feel like she's one the best singers in the group!! And when Brittany and Mike dance it's pretty good! AHH! Cuties <3 The song is super random though! And the magic comb thing that Artie did for Brittany was ridiculously sweet! <3

Mercedes and Tina -- "Dog Days Are Over" by Florence and the Machines! I really don't like Tina's voice...ugh. But dog days are over ---they're not the underdogs anymore! Because...

THEY'RE GOING TO REGIONALS BECAUSE THEY TIED WITH WARBLERS! YAY!

oh yeah, and wtf, Emma got married to Carl?!

Glee: Furt (S2E8)

LOVE LOVE LOVE! This should be an episode for Valentine's day or something...but Glee is officially back! Out of their hump thanks to Gwen in the last episode, the storyline is good and of course, love is all it takes~! <3

Finn's Mom + Kurt's Dad:

They're getting married~! <3 And they're having a Glee wedding~! :) Of course, Kurt is the wedding planner. HAHA. When Finn sang "Marry You" along with the rest of the Glee Club as they all walked down the aisle, it was so cute! Esp Sam and Quinn's part! The streamers were a bit much though haha. I think I watched it like 50 times and when Burt came dancing down the aisle, I was like AWWW <333333

Finn's speech about FURT <3 So cute~! :) Finn & Kurt, brothers from another mother! <33333 And then he serenades Kurt with Just the Way You Are! HAHAHAHAHAHAH. <3333333 And then they dance together, granted it was just the box step but it's still really cute! <33333

Sue <3:

And Sue's ex BF/anchor Rod is getting married as well??? WTF. Love is in the air for reals...erm so Sue tries online dating in order to salvage her reputation...bahahahahha "extreme taxidermy, tantric yelling and poking the elderly with hidden pins" bahahhahaha <3 SO Sue Sylvester realizes the only one for her is Sue so basically she's marrying herself bahaha. <33333333333 And her tracksuit gown is freaking hilarious!

Sue's mom is so cute, but they kind of look the same! :) But she's pretty evil...a Nazi hunter...making Sue look sad and pathetic! She says the meanest shit passive aggressively... Boo! Go away! And she promises to sing at her wedding and her duet of Ohio with Sue was pretty good and they aired out all their tension during the song...and then totally became a bitch right afterwards... Well she left, so whatever. Pretty useless character unless she comes back. But it gives insight on Sue's past and why she's such a huge bully at the school

Sam + Quinn~!

Sam says that he and Quinn are the stars of McKinley so he proposes to her! BAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHA. OMG. Promise ring~! So cute!!! Omgoshhh so cute, I want Sam as a boyfriend too!!! All the things that he promises her are so sweet~!!!!! :)

Kurt's harassment issues with Karofsky:

Principal Sue at least for now...bc Figgins is coming back!!! But she was actually a pretty good principal, not going to lie! And I love how she calls her sister "handi-capable!" Nice! Seriously! And she's so nice to Kurt about the harassment issue with Kurt, except for the part where she calls him lady. Anyways, but such a great principal! She expelled Karofsky but I smell a payback............damn it, I knew he was going to come back...And now he's going to Dalton Academy?!!! WTF!

---
So many good quotes this episode!!!!

Sam as said to Quinn: "If you accept this ring will symbolize my promise to you to be true...to listen to your problems, to tell you when you have food in your teeth or eye gunk, to come over to your house whenever you need something super heavy moved around. I promise to make you feel proud when you point down the hall and say 'That dude's my boyfriend.' I promise to do all those things without trying to sound like Matthew McConaughey!" Omg. Throw up and barf, but yet super jealous that he's that adorable~!

Kurt as said to Finn: "I've been planning weddings since I was 2. My Power Rangers have been married and divorced so many combinations they're like Fleetwood Mac"

Glee: The Substitute (S2E7)

After last week's lukewarm Glee, I wasn't really looking forward to watching this weeks episode. But I was proved wrong, again. Glee, when I'm excited to see you, you suck, when I'm not, you draw me back in. BI-POLAR!!!!!!!!

Recap:

Figgins is gone so now we have Principal Sue! She's going apeshit with her power control trying to disband the football team, ban on junk food, and of course, her public enemy #1: the Glee Club. What I don't get about the ban on junk food is why they pick the obviously bigger kid to fight about it...isn't that like just proving the fact that there's too much junk food in the world? Making her feel worse? DAMN. They even say that Mercedes is substituting FOOD for LOVE and that she needs to treat herself with a little more respect [ie stop eating food (ie stop being fat)]. And, they never really "resolved" the food ban issue in the end?!

YAY! Gwenyth Paltrow is the substitute teacher!! And even better, she's a little crazy and she's not too bad at singing. Love it! But her trying to be a bad ass is a little weird....Her performance of Cee-lo's Forget You was soooooooo good though! :) She even befriends Sue over an episode of Hoarders (my fave) and red wine~! And makes Rachel not so uptight anymore! She duets with her on Chicago's Nowadays/Hot Honey Rags mashup. Nice! And for once, I liked Rachel singing.

Mr. Schu singing Make Them Laugh from Singing in the Rain was a tad strange and super random. But I must say, he can keep up with the young'uns and the choreography was pretty tight. :)

Terri is back in the picture?? She's taking care of Mr. Schu but we're like actually talking about her which begs the question...is she coming back to the show? Like as a love interest or enemy or whatever? She's like nice and cheery, it's really strange and her and Mr. Schu get it on! And then she threatens him like a mad woman when he tells her that it was just a mistake!!!!! (sidenote: Will is getting a ton of action lately! First with Emma, then the BEAST (bahaha) and now Terri!)

Modern version of Singing in the Rain = mashup with  Rihanna's Umbrella LOL. The choreography as well as the outfits were BOMB! And it was super adorable. With the umbrellas, rain boots, and wet stage puddles. It must have been really annoying to dance in that, but they make it look fun. LOL. (just realized that Artie could not take part in it bc he's in a wheelchair :( ) Easily, favorite song of the episode, which means that it was REALLY good because Cee-lo's Forget You and the Chicago mashup were damn good too! Well, it really summed up the episode well because it was really about the balance of being hip or too old school. Gwen vs. Mr Schu. LOVE IT! Best ending EVER! <3

Overall:

It was really good, cute, amazing. Reminded me of the Glee that I know and fell in love with! This whole episode kind of centers around how freaking cool Gwenyth Paltrow is, and how OLD(er) people can keep up with kids half their age at both singing AND dancing. See the Chicago and Singing in the Rain number...and of course, how to strike a balance between old and new for kids of the next generation. The give a shout out to Twitter, yet reference a 1950s movie Singing in the Rain. A job well done.

But in order to get out the slump that Glee is in, they brought in a guest star. It was extremely successful just like the Britney Spears and Madonna episodes. I mean, that's kind of sad that they need to bring in celebrities in order to make the story line good this season. It was this sad last season right?! They didn't need to rely on celebrities because they had pretty interesting scripts...:(

On the bright side, this was a great PR move for Gwen because not only did it show off her singing chops, but it brought renewed interest in her as a celebrity, I mean after she named her daughter Apple, no one really cared anymore about her other stuff. So this is good because she's coming out with a new movie where she...SINGS country music. Coming full circle! Promoting her self-image, singing, and acting! Smart to say the least!

Favorite part:
To see all the Glee kids as KIDS <3 I rewatched that part like 10 times bc the kids are SO CUTE <333333333333333333 AHHHHH!

Last remarks:

Is Figgins really gone FOREVER?????

Glee is kind of racist, I noticed it for a while, and in like literally every episode, but I'm surprised that I just remarked upon it now. I mean they have the stereotypes embedded within the characters. Like the only 2 asian people are dating, Mercedes gets set up with one of the 5 black guys at the school it's a little weird...And of course other stereotypes about big people, Down's Syndrome, dumb Blondes and homosexuals. Oh yeah, and of course, middle America...oh Ryan Murphy...what do we do with you? Can't you go direct another Nip/Tuck-y show? Please???

Does Rachel have lip injections? They look extraordinarily puffy....

Fave quote:
"I suggest you sell yourself on Craigslist under the title 'Men seeking Men with Butt Chins'" - Sue as said to Mr. Schu! BAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Glee: Never Been Kissed (S2E6)

Things to recap from Duets (Rocky Horror Glee Show was legit-ly just a Halloween special where no real drama happened besides Mr. Schu and Emma of course):

  • Quinn + Sam = <3
  • Tina + Mike = <3?
  • Artie + Brittany = </3
  • Kurt and Beast = lonely
  • Mr. Schu + Emma = ???????
Ready for this week's drama~! :)
  1. Sexual frustration!! How will they quell their frustration? Why the BEAST of course!
    1. Say my name! BEAST!
      1. Sam calling Quinn BEAST during their hot and heavy make out section which pisses Quinn off --> lover's quarrel hahaha.
      2. Tina picturing the Beast as a ballerina hahaha. OMG.
    2. Mr. Schu finds out and flips a bitch!!! And he's kind of forced to tell the Beast why everyone is talking about her behind her back...omg. So awkward!
    3. Beast ended up quitting on her own accord because of what the kids did. Sad! :( At least Mr. Schu talks her out of doing it...
    4. But admitting that she's not gay, that's a little weird??? I thought she was...and then she admits that she's never been kissed. And so Mr. Schu takes the plunge into the dark abyss...new power couple? HAHA.  Or is he just trying to nudge her forward into the dating scene (which makes a whole shit ton more sense) lol. HOLY CRAP. THAT IS SO AWKWARD DUDE!
  2. Puck's back~!
    1. Puck got out of juvie early because he said he'd do community service. Aka he's now Artie's friend! :) Artie helps him stay out of juvie by offering to tutor him and their double date with Santana and Brittany was really cute! I think they're going to be BFF's! I'm excited! :)
      1. They sing "One Love/People Get Ready" by Bob Marley! Cute <3 They actually match really well! I love Puck's voice~! BUT WHERE DID THE CALYPSO DRUMS ROLL OUT FROM?! WTF?? But at least they made a shit ton of money~! A little random though, not going to lie...
    2. "Best community service-r ever right?" Puck as said to Artie
  3. BOYS VS. GIRLS TOURNAMENT! YAY! Last time it was amazing with the whole drug ordeal, but will Glee deliver again?! Let the games begin!
    1. Boys singing traditional girls songs
      1. "Stop in the Name of Love" by the Supremes + "Free Your Mind" by En Vogue
        1. They sing this mash-up for Coach Beast to apologize for what they did to her! And it works! She doesn't quit!
        2. The boys look FLYYYYYY in their suits and the way they sang the songs were amazing. Very MANLY yet the songs were supposed to be "girly"! <3 Artie totally killed it! Actually all the boys were really good, I honestly think I like the guys a whole shit ton better than the girls! :)
    2. Girls singing traditional boys songs
      1. "Start Me Up!" by the Rolling Stones
        1. The girls look pretty hot in their all leather ensembles and it was pretty good vocal wise, otherwise it was just a lot of hair tossing and sex appeal. Mehh. Whatevers.
    3. OVERALL: IT SUCKED. END OF STORY. :(
  4. Kurt keeps getting picked on by "The Fury" and it makes him sad, angry, and belligerent :( So he pays the all boys Dalton Academy a visit and runs into Blaine! New love interest please?(Hopefully it doesn't turn out like Rachel's relationship with Jesse?)
    1. Katy Perry's "Teenage Dream" by the Warblers! It was soooo good~! I love acapella~! I think the songs so overrated because I hear it on the radio all the time, but Glee did the song justice! It was amazing! And the boys were so cute! ;)
    2. Kurt goes on a coffee date with some of the cute Warblers <3 And he asks Blaine for advice on how to stay strong being the only open gay kid at his school, but does it make him want to transfer schools? Well Blaine gives him 2 options either go to Dalton or refuse to be the victim and fight back! He tells Kurt to call out the "Fury!"
      1. OKAY...so Kurt called out Fury and it was TOTALLY NOT WHAT I EXPECTED! FURY KISSED KURT! WTFFFFFFF. I mean I knew that he might've been secretly gay but OMG! It makes sense...lashing out with homophobic tendencies, that's pretty textbook behavior for some people who are struggling, but Fury stole Kurt's first kiss! :(
      2. Kurt brings Blaine to meet Fury instead because he has no idea WTF to do...Blaine is like the messiah of all gays of something! "Well he's not coming out anytime soon!!" BAAHAHAHA
---
Overall:
This episode was MAINLY conversational and some random songs interspersed here and there. But the main story lines we see here are basically Kurt dealing with his bullies at school and the sexual frustration among the Glee-ers. What ties together the story line? Both Kurt and Beast have never been kissed! :( Well, until now, at least. Dang.

Song competition basically was non-existent. They should definitely had done this as their boys vs. girls competition, I mean it has so many opportunities, and instead we get weird songs from a equally weird episode.

Just when you think that Glee is getting predictable, which it is A LOT OF THE TIME, it surprises you like strangely like the Mr. Schu + Beast kiss. So random!

All in all, the episode was a throwaway, let's do better next time please Ryan Murphy!

Favorite part of the episode:
THE WARBLERS! LET'S SEE MORE OF THEM PLEASE!

Glee: Rocky Horror Glee Show (S2E5)

Wait wait wait. Rocky Horror Picture Show for a FAMILY SHOW? Oh, Ryan Murphy, you tease us so! I want to see how you're going to make a show whose main character is a "TRANSVESTITE FROM TRANSEXUAL TRANSYLVANIA." I will be very surprised if you can a) pull this off without having to compromise literally the WHOLE show b) have no parent objection to this and c) make the songs actually sound good and interesting?

So in preparation for this week's episode, I watched the original Rocky Horror Picture Show so that I could watch the show actually knowing what it's about and getting the odd jokes here and there. But this movie is definitely not for the faint of heart. The characters are half nude throughout 7/8th of the show...just dressed up in corsets, hooker heels, underwear, and bras. Damn, Glee, honestly how are you going to make this work?! And the movie is essentially about discovering sexuality and all that jazz, can you honestly make Janet have sex with Dr. Frank-n-Furter and Rocky? How is this going to work? For a school play?

Okay, so I just going to comment on a few things that strike me as surprising/strange/funny whatever throughout the show:

  • Who was the person singing with the lips in the beginning? Quinn? I can't figure it out!
  • I love how John Stamos interrupted them in the beginning!!!
  • Wait Puck's still not back? Is he ever coming back?
  • How can they mention "internet" porn on a family show, wow first Rocky Horror and now PORN? Ryan, there's little kids watching this, I hope that you realize this...(In case you missed it, it's when Finn, Sam and Artie are in the gym working out)
  • Emma is obsessed with Rocky Horror? Wait. This is weird. I checked it up and Jayma Mays (who plays Emma) auditioned with Touch-a Touch-a Touch Me from Rocky Horror when she was trying out for GLEE! COOL bc she totally sings it for this too! But this definitely does not fit her character in the show.
  • Did anyone notice that Sue's Jack-O-Lantern is a carving of herself? AHAHAHAHA. LOVE!
  • HAHAHA John Stamos........is Eddie :) Wow, I didn't know Uncle Jesse could sing!
  • Mercedes = Dr. Frank-n-Furter KILLED IT! WOW <3 Perfect, at first I thought it was weird, but I really like the idea now. Her voice is banging! :)
  • Mr. Schu + Emma = SEXUAL TENSION during Touch-a Touch-a Touch Me hahahah. OMG. Love it! Seriously, Emma is so weird in this episode. When was she this ballsy?! Why did Mr. Schu need help singing that song??? Rocky doesn't even sing in it...
  • Wait, does anyone find it weird that John Stamos is in the Time Warp song even though A) Eddie isn't in that part B) he's like old singing with a bunch of kids...
Oh, Glee. I don't know what to say. I'm pretty pleased with the episode I guess. But so many things went wrong, and not too many things went right. We saw Emma flip a 180 on her usual character which I think was the weirdest part of the show. But uh most importantly, the whole entire point of the movie was not even there! Like only the songs and like zero script...Augh. The compromises we make for family TV.  However, Mercedes was a really good Dr. Frank-n-Furter, and the Glee-ers did a good job singing the songs from the RHPS so yeah. :)

Interesting to say the least....

Glee: Duets (S2E4)

Favorite songs list of the episode:
  1. Santana and Mercedes' "River Deep, Mountain High" -- OMG. SO AMAZING! I love love love when S & M are together! Their "The Boy is Mine" was fucking ridiculously amazing! Both their voices are really good and I love how they went all crazy and apeshit anddanced like crazy people. LOVE LOVE LOVE THEM~! I think they should've won! Straight up diva bitches for realsssss! <3
  2. Kurt's "Le Jazz Hot!" --HAHAHA. Kurt totally would sing by himself. He was amazing. Like always. He's such a good performer. I like the duo costume and all the weird random dancers in the back. I like how Glee is so freaking random sometimes. They randomly pop in dancers and cellists and harps. So strangeee!! I feel bad for Kurt though and how he's always so lonely :( Yo producers, get him a boyfriend please!!!
  3. Mike and Tina's "Sing!" --So cute! I love how he's afraid of singing, but I'm glad he is because his dancing act is getting old -- fast. Hopefully he'll sing more in the future, but this song was so perfect for the duet~! But Mike and Tina are getting on my nerves. The whole Asian stereotype-y shit is so lame...and did you see Tina's makeup during the argument in the library?? They lined her eyes with red! I thought she was crying. And why are her outfits always so strange?!!
  4. Sam and Quinn's "Lucky" -- HOLY SHIT! THEY ARE SO CUTE!!!!! Their chemistry is so palpable that it makes me smile. I think that I watched this song and their date scene like 50 times! They like ooze gushiness. It's like grossly adorable. And he's such a dork so it's even cuter! :) LOL WITH THE LEMON JUICE IN HIS HAIR! When they sing they're so shy and when they look at each other it seems so intimate~! AHH CUTIES FOR LIFE!!! YAY SAM & QUINN~!!!!!!!! "We're not using these coupons. Because you're paying. A gentleman always pays on the first date." OMGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG. <3
  5. Rachel and Kurts "Get Happy/Happy Days Are Here Again" mashup -- It was such a good ending to the episode which I really liked. I usually dislike Rachel to the n-th degree bc she's effing annoying and apparently that's how she is in real life! GRR! But this duet was sweet and for once I liked Rachel. For like 2 minutes and then I remembered that she still like over-performs when she's singing with other people so she looks dumb... STOP BEING SO DRAMATIC YOU MAKE IT LOOK LIKE IT HURTS!
  6. This is not a song, but I love when Brittany is nudging the meatball with her nose at the end. And when she manly-y carries Kurt to her bed. HAHHAHAHAHAHA. I love Brittany because she's so odd~! <3
I like how Glee is balancing tackling hard issues like religion, sexuality, and pregnancy while being really creative. Not gonna lie, but this is one of my favorite episodes along with the Madonna and Britney episodes~! It would be super cute if each show had a theme group like The Beatles~!
Ah man. Why is Ryan Murphy such a freaking genius?? First he sends us some Nip/Tuck with crazy plastic surgery, drugs, sexuality, whores, informercials, white supremacy, baby daddies, cleft palettes. OMG. SHIT NEVER ENDING FUCKING LIST OF DRAMA!!! (FAVORITE SHOW EVER!) And now he sends something completely random like a singing high school musical show?! WTF. I <3 HIM AND HIS RANDOMNESS~! :)

Sam & Quinn's Duet of Lucky <3

Glee: Grilled Cheesus (S2E3)

HRMMMMM. Glee is tackling some really hard things like sexuality, cliques, divorce, dead parents, single mothers but now RELIGION? Well they call it "spirituality." This might have made a turn for the worse because they made it a little strange with Finn praying to his cheese sandwich...I feel like it might have turned off a couple of viewers so I'm not sure this was such a smart move for the show. Good thing the songs were pretty good.

Basically Kurt's dad is in the hospital because he had a heart attack. So sad, I know. :( And everyone in the club wants to help him out so they turn to religious songs to help him through it. Kurt goes apeshit because he's atheist because apparently God doesn't accept the gays. So therefore he doesn't want everyone to sing this religion songs to help his dad get better. But in the end, everything works out, his dad wakes up and he ends up going to church with Mercedes just to see what it's like. :)

I also liked seeing Sue's nice side when she was talking about her sister and Down's syndrome and that's why she doesn't believe in God. This episode was definitely a little to controversial for me because I can understand why people could possibly get upset from this.

All of the songs had to do SOMEWHAT with religion. I'm not sure I really liked any of them but let's see...

Favorite songs?

  1. Kurt's "I Wanna Hold Your Hand"
    • Damn, this is one of my absolutely favorite Beatles songs!! In Across the Universe, one of my favorite movies ever, TV Carpio sings this when she's struggling with her sexuality. I was like shit. Total flashback!! This is really cute because he sings this for his dad. <3
  2. Mercedes' "Bridge Over Trouble Water"
    • Mercedes takes Kurt to church with him to sing gospel with the choir in order for Kurt to understand that religion isn't just for people who believe in God, but a group of people who all believe in a common cause and most importantly help others in need. It's really adorable and I love this song alot~! :) YAY I love Simon & Garfunkel, well my parents do, so I listened to this song a lot when I was little. FLASHBACK AGAIN!
  3. Mercedes' "I Look to You"
    • Mercedes honestly shines through out this whole episode. Her voice is absolutely amazing, definitely one of the best out of the whole cast. I wish that she got to sing more, like when she sang Christina Aguilera's Beautiful last season! AHH. HEART HER! Sometimes, I have to admit, she looks awkward in the costumes but her voice makes up for it.
  4. Glee Cast "What If God Was One Of Us"
    • Damn,  love this song. Enough said. :)
Kind of glad when this episode was over, this was one of my least liked episode, excited for next week~!

    Glee: Britney/Brittany (S2E2)

    It's Britney, bitch!

FUCK YES! A Britney Spears episode. Damn I love to hate her, only to fucking love her again. Admit it, she's a pop culture icon! All of us totally grew up with her, don't lie, you know it. :)

First Madonna, then Lady Gaga, and now the one and only Britney. I was so excited to watch this!! I love love love when the real Britney Spears rolled up into the episode. <3

I love how drugs make the Glee kids go apeshit. Remember when Terri gave them drugs and the Glee kids were like super hyper? Now it's the dentist, John Stamos :) Damn, can I just say that John Stamos is fuckingggggggg hot in this episode? For an old guy at least.

God damn I love Brittany S. Pierce. HAHAHAHAHHA. <3

    Fave songs from this episode?

    1. Brittany's "I'm A Slave for You"
      • HAHA. Brittany's teeth! She has 68 cavities!!!! "I look like an adult baby with boobs!" HAHAHAHA. OMG. But this is like the first time Brittany had a true solo. She's so good! She sounds JUST LIKE BRITNEY! SHIT DUDE. I ABSOLUTELY DID NOT EXPECT THIS FROM HER AT ALL! And she has a banging body and she can dance! Damn, I love all of her Britney inspired outfits from the past too. Fucking Amazing.
    2. Brittany and Santana's "Me Against the Music"
      • Brittany as Britney and Santana as Madonna = perfect match. Loved every minute of it! It was basically a replica of the original mv, but it was still really good. I think that their voices mesh really well together so this was absolutely perfect for them two. :) Santana's voice is ridiculous. She didn't sound like Madonna like Brittany sounded like Britney, but it totally worked out. I'm so excited to see her sing more in the rest of the season~! Woot! Absolutely love love love her.
    3. Rachel's "The Only Exception"
      • This was the ONLY song that was not Britney Spears, but it made me fall in love with Paramore. I usually pretty much dislike them, but this was really really adorable. Rachel singing to Finn after she absolutely fucked things up by admitting she was a jealous bitch. Um, basically story of her life...

Hey Ryan Murphy, let's do more theme episodes please~! How about the Beatles? :)

    Glee: Audition (S2E1)

I am not going to lie, I am a tad obsessed with Glee. I think I watch every episode like 2 or 3 times in on sitting. I love MOST of the songs, and usually end up downloading either the original soundtracks or the Glee-version. (We plan on doing vintage reviews of the first season once we have the time to.)

For Glee, my favorite parts are the songs because the story lines are a tad cheesy and the songs are definitely the best part. :)

Quick and dirty review of the first episode. I watched it a while ago, so it's not as fresh, but I don't want to start reviewing Glee from the 4th episode! AHHHH. CATCH UP!

The 2nd season basically kicked off with a recap of the past season, along with the little Jewish reporter who is obsessed with Rachel interviewing the Glee Kids about their summer. New Auditions is trying to recruit more members so they can make it to the big leagues again because it's in NEW YORK! Holla!!!!!!! 2 new possible recruits: Sam & Sunny. :)

Top 3 favorite songs from Auditions:

    1. Sam's "Billionaire"
      • YES! New characters~! Well kind of, Sam does finally join the New Directions later on in the season! I am super excited to see a fresh face on the show, and damn this boy is not only cute, but he can also sing!
    2. Sunny and Rachel's "Telephone"
      • Damn. The competition between the two of them is fierce~! Both of these girls absolutely rocked it. While Sunny kept her cute demeanor, Rachel let out her disgustingly gross green-eyed monster. Their voices work super well together and Charice's adorable "Asian" side comes out with her little fob backpack and hair. AHH LOVE IT! I love when Jane Lynch rolls up and is like WTF ARE YOU GUYS DOING!!!!!! HAHA. LOVE!
    3. Sunny Corazon's "Listen"
      • Sunny, aka Charice, is a YT sensation and it's pretty exciting to see a fellow Asian on the show. HAHA. Not only does she kill this song from DreamGirls, her voice is fucking RIDICULOUS! I'm kind of sad to see that she doesn't stick around for the rest of the season! She has one of the best voices out of the Glee Cast and it would fucking cool if she stayed and battled it out between Rachel, Mercedes and Santana. COME BACK CUTIE~! :)
    Rachel and Sunny's Telephone Duet
    Telephone Battle BITCHESSSS <3
So there you have it, first episode in a nutshell. :)
